Montessori low toy shelf
Montessori low toy shelf
Montessori low toy shelf The low toy shelf meets Maria Montessori's principle that children should be able to choose their own activities. This helps them develop self-confidence and allows them to freely change and adapt their decisions to specific situations. By choosing a toy shelf for your child's room, you give your child space that supports his or her development.
Safety
Interiors where the youngest children stay should not contain elements that pose a risk to them while playing. What we mean here are sharp edges, exposed contacts and angular corners of furniture. It is also unacceptable to shield parts of the room with barriers.
The toy shelf is made of hardwood plywood and finished by sanding the edges and rounding the corners. This material is intended for making children's toys and furniture. The material meets all international standards for wooden products with which children constantly come into contact.
All shelf elements are carefully finished by hand and free from sharp edges .
They were protected with certified preparations with the appropriate approvals.
The toy shelf is designed so that a child can climb on it without the furniture falling over. This is because the low center of gravity is moved rearward by adding a massive rear end.
The shelf is mounted with a regular screwdriver and takes about 5 minutes.
Room according to Montessori
The Montessori method is primarily an idea and a teaching method. But not only that: Maria Montessori paid a lot of attention to the space around the child. The sphere of activity of a little person is not only school or kindergarten, but above all the room where he sleeps and plays, and therefore spends a large part of his life. It is up to you whether proper design of this space will support the development of the child's independence and creativity.
A children's room should be a friendly and safe interior, minimalistically furnished and focused on nature.
The number of furniture and their configuration is a matter that depends mainly on the age of the child. However, there are certain elements that are typical of a Montessori room and that appear in every setup.
Freedom of movement and easy access to toys.
In a Montessori nursery, freedom of movement and unrestricted access to all elements of the equipment play a key role. The device should not only enable but also encourage the child to discover new objects and use familiar objects.
The toy shelf is placed low, directly on the floor. It does not protrude too much from the wall (it is 35 cm deep ), allowing you to divide the space freely. The shelf has three shelves, and the toys on it are easily accessible even for a very small child.
The low toy shelf is 44 cm high . This gives the child easy access to toys and encourages them to put them back after playing.
Calm colors.
The Montessori method uses a subdued color palette. This does not mean that a children's room has to be boring. After all, the toys and books themselves bring the power of colors that contrast with the environment into the interior! Light-colored furniture is a good choice.
We offer the toy shelf in different colors: natural , white , gray , mint and blue . The furniture fits perfectly with our low children's bookcase, available in the same colors.
